Secretary - Daily Style

stripedwed.jpg

Today was crazy busy again at work but it’s good because it makes the day go fast. This afternoon I’m off thrifting again. I’m determined to find something amazing for the weekend. I also have a voucher to spend which is great because it’s like having free money. Then I have to be home early so I can call Mr Smaggle in San Francisco before he goes to sleep!

* Vintage secretary dress thrifted in Newtown

* Red skinny belt from a dress thrifted at Salvation Army

* Red sandals from Marco Gianni

* NO ACCESSORIES!!! Holy crap I feel so naked!

And thank you to all the lovely ladies who commented on my previous post! Keep the requests coming my loves. I adore a challenge!

Love Lady Smaggle

Natasha - I couldn’t resist it. The lady in the shop was waiting outside the change room when I tried it on. She said it had been on the rack for 30 seconds before I walked in. Talk about perfect timing!

Niki - Thanks love! And happy birthday by the way…

    Newtown is love.
I thrift with my Aunt in Newtown.
Everyone who works in the thrifties is on a first name basis with her.
    Yes, it is quite freakish.

I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now and love your style and particularly this dress.

I live in New York City, and unfortunately some of our thriftstores can be as expensive as shopping at regular stores. Aside from trolling eBay, any Web site recommendations for great vintage finds? (places that ship to the US a plus!) Thanks!

Thanks Jen! I’ll do a post soon on great online vintage stores. In Australia thrift stores aren’t quite as expensive as regular stores but they aren’t super super cheap either. Although I imagine the thrift stores in New York a lot more exciting that what I have here! :-)
