anyway, in that first shot, is Cory wearing yellow tights, has she had an accident in a fake tan factory, or is she in fact suffering from jaundice? WHO CAN TELL? [that caps was intended]

Ashley - Oh I totally agree that some people can pull it off and if I was a size 0 and all gorgeous and gangly you bet I’d be dressing like that. Kudos to her but I wish people would stop copying!

well some of us can pull it off! u are right in saying that it wouldnt suit a lot of people but i think it attracts more girls who are actually a bit like her…of course there are the few unfortunate ones! she doesnt seem to give a f*** about what she wears but lately she looks like she’s actually trying to look fashionable without loosing ‘herself’ and its just not working!

Ha ha thanks Lauren! I probably won’t be doing the headband thing anytime soon. At least not until the whole craze is over. And I HATE those mullet hair cuts. With the horrible top-deck dye jobs. It’s just so incredibly strange.

Oh.. I am so sorry that I’m late on this post. I totally know what you mean with the whole ‘copy Cory’ thing. It’s almost as bad as when every single girl aged 13-21 went out and got one of those awful mullet-y haircuts. Now they are wearing high-waisted cut-offs when ‘ironic’ 80’s shirts and trying to do new wave… Laughable. Sorry for the long post but I’m glad someone shares my pain.

PS. The headwear looks fairly awesome on you.

Ah Miss Gervy I have only just discovered Cory myself. She’s a bit of a MySpace celebrity and an Indie ‘It’ girl. I don’t have a huge problem with her she just seems to be famous for not really doing very much. But after writing this post I’ve realised she’s not really that famous! She does covers for Nylon magazine.

I’m deeply impressed by your public-spiritedness, Lady Smaggle. That’s a MAJAH sacrifice, to put on those horrific jeans. But your point is well made. High-waisted jeans are shockin. Shockin. I did know that already. But I’m ashamed to admit I don’t know who Cory Kennedy is. Is this blog the wrong demographic for me? Does she have the Kennedy curse? Isn’t Cory a boy’s name? It raises so many questions…

I do not DO copycat. Following fashion trends just doesn’t interest me. I love clothes, but trends are painful.

I only just started following your blog and have been enjoying it a lot, and wanted to say THANK YOU for this post.

I am studying abroad in Japan, and it pains me to see Western girls not dress their appropriate sizes because they are trying to imitate waif-thin Japanese girls, who can get away with wearing insane layers, billowy shirts, micro-minis, and leggings…the metaphor of a square peg and a round hole comes to mind.
